Thursday, February 4, 2010 is World Cancer Day

Each year on February 4, the World Health Organization (WHO) supports the International Union Against Cancer to promote ways to ease the global burden of cancer. Preventing cancer and raising quality of life for cancer patients are recurring themes. Cancer is a leading cause of death around the world. WHO estimates that 84 million people will die of cancer between 2005 and 2015 without intervention.

Click here for information about how you can work towards change in Canada with the Canadian Alliance of Brain Tumour Organizations (CABTO) and support the work of the Campaign to Control Cancer.
