Ontario Volunteer Service Award Recipients

Ontario Volunteer Service Awards are given annually by the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration to recognize volunteers for their "undeniable contributions" and thank them for their "continuous years of commitment". The following Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada volunteers will be presented with their awards in their home communities this spring.

Brain Tumour Survivor Blog

Alex Jasperse is a brain tumour survivor from Ottawa who is undertaking a project to raise funds and awareness to fight the battle against this disease. To celebrate his recovery, he is rewarding himself with a trip to Europe where he will be documenting his journeys on a website www.theworldagain.com, in addition to fundraising. Upon his return, a number of concerts and other events are planned to help support Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. Please visit his site as he helps spread the word.
